Newville Event Preparations

Great War Association Annual Dues $25 - via PayPal send payment to: GWAtreas@gmail.com
Paid once yearly in combination as part of the event registration (see next row)
2 weeks prior to April event date (or November event date if it’s your 1st event of the year)
Great War Association Event Registration/Dues Register for the April/November event on the Great War Association website (here)

Meals for Event $TBD - via PayPal send payment (“friends and family” type) to: bracken99@hotmail.com
Includes: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and dinner, and coffee throughout

Ammo for Event Blanks can be purchased from French Company CDR Carter Bertone for pickup at the event. We recommend ordering 100 rounds. Alternatively, you can buy blanks (half loads) in advance from https://joeswansonsmotionpictureblanks.com 1-2 months prior to April/November event date
Loaner Gear Requirements Cpl. Picard (Matt Murphy) will email the unit (and post on Facebook) asking those who need to borrow loaner uniforms/equipment to specify what is needed. ~1 month prior to April/November event date
Uniform/Equipment Check Pre-Event inspection of all uniforms and equipment (e.g., rifle cleaned, boots blackened, tears repaired, etc.). 1 week prior to April/November event date
Haircut All unit members are required to keep their hair on the sides and back neatly trimmed or buzzed.

Prior to event
Mail Call Assignment* Write letter in French (including addressed envelope) to assigned unit member for mail call.
*For those events where mail call is done, Cpl. Picard (Matt Murphy) will email unit members with assignment.
Hand-in to Sgt. Contamine at event
Food for Saturday Lunch Unit members are responsible for supplying their own lunch on Saturday of the event. Must be period and culturally appropriate. Bring to event
French Company Co-Op Scrip Payment for scrip to use at French Company Co-Operative - via PayPal send payment (“friends and family” type) to: bracken99@hotmail.com
Recommend $5-10 worth of scrip to use for snacks/drinks/knick-knacks.
